How I work
Being a fine art wedding photographer means that I aim to document your day not just accurately but also in the most beautiful way possible - I take a photojournalistic approach for most parts of the day, but if it requires me to insert myself into a scene to provide you with more beautiful images, then that is what I will do. I like to describe my images as candid, emotional, romantic & airy. I love making real connections with my couples and bringing out their personalities in my portraits, in order to evoke feelings of genuine love & affection in my images.
I'm also an avid film shooter. I believe that shooting on film slows down the photographer, so that much more thought is put into each and every frame. This results in much stronger images. Not only that, but I firmly believe that film produces photographs that has this organic, soft, and dreamy quality that is difficult to reproduce in digital - the tonal qualities, the colour, and the texture of it is just out of this world! I love the timeless feel of film, but I also recognise the speed & reliability of digital. As my client, you will get the best of both worlds!
